Private Firearms Instruction
Responsible Armed Citizen offers private firearms instruction for
individuals and small groups seeking focused training outside of a
traditional open-enrollment class.
Training can be structured around specific skills, firearm platforms,
or training objectives, with individual instruction, intensive
two-instructor sessions, and private small-group training available.
Private Training Options
1-to-1 Training
One student works directly with one instructor in a focused training
environment. The session can be tailored to the student’s specific
goals, experience level, skill development, and areas requiring
additional attention.
2 Instructors — 1 Student
One student trains with two instructors for a highly individualized
training experience. This format provides increased observation,
coaching, feedback, and instructor attention throughout the session.
Small Groups
Private small-group training is available for groups seeking a
dedicated training environment. Instruction can be structured around
the group’s shared experience, skills, and training objectives.
Available Training
Private instruction can be structured around a variety of firearm
platforms, environments, and skill-development objectives.
Low-Light Training
Firearms training in reduced-light conditions with an emphasis on
practical weapon handling, light use, target identification, and
working with limited visual information.
Defensive Pistol
Practical pistol training focused on developing efficient firearm
handling, marksmanship, decision-making, and application of handgun
skills in a defensive context.
Carbine
Individualized carbine instruction focused on safe weapon handling,
marksmanship, manipulation, and practical application of the platform.
Shotgun
Practical shotgun instruction covering safe handling, operation,
marksmanship, manipulation, and effective use of the platform.
Known-Distance Shooting
Develop shooting skills against targets at established distances,
allowing students to work on marksmanship and application of their
firearm and sighting system at distance.
Unknown-Distance Shooting
Training that requires students to evaluate targets at unknown
distances and apply appropriate marksmanship and shooting solutions.
Training Built Around Your Goals
Private instruction allows training to be tailored to the needs of the
student rather than forcing every shooter into the same course format.
Whether the goal is improving a specific skill, developing proficiency
with a firearm platform, or working through a specialized training
